Rollover crash kills 1 and injures 2 more

Police are still investigating a recent accident in Illinois that left one woman dead and injured two more people who were in the same car.

The accident happened on Saturday, Nov. 23, right around 3:00 a.m. It was a single-vehicle crash. Reports show that the car rolled in Aurora, Illinois, throwing one person out of the vehicle as it did so. That person was then pinned below the car as it rolled.

The woman who was pinned passed away from her injuries, and emergency crews determined that she had died at the scene. Inside the wreckage of the car were two more people, both of whom had critical injuries. Responders got them out of the car and took them to a local hospital. The latest reports say they are stable.

As of yet, the police have not said why the crash happened, as they are reconstructing the incident.

That said, it is important to note that single-vehicle crashes can still lead to potential rights to financial compensation. For example, if a driver causes an accident and a passenger dies, that driver may still be held responsible. The family of the passenger could still face medical bills, funeral costs, lost earnings and much more.

This is part of the reason that the police are so careful to reconstruct and investigate fatal accidents. They need to know exactly what happened and who was responsible for the crash. At the same time, the families of those who pass away may want to look into the legal rights they have to seek financial compensation to cover those costs.
