Most car accidents come from this one cause

Does the road ever feel too chaotic? Accidents happen for so many reasons. You have to contend with drunk drivers, distracted drivers, inexperienced drivers, road sign and control issues, poor weather conditions and a whole host of other issues. It feels like accidents can happen for hundreds of reasons, so how do you avoid them?

One way to make things feel a bit more simple, though, is just to remember that most accidents have merely one cause: human error.

People, on the whole, are the reason for car accidents. They make mistakes. They have the power to keep cars from crashing and reduce the death toll -- often around 40,000 people annually -- if they would just stop making these mistakes.

Unfortunately, many drivers do not realize that they are the problem and may not even understand it after a crash. For instance, if someone slides into the back of your car on an icy road, they may blame the ice and act like it was a fluke -- rather than recognizing that they were driving too fast and too close for conditions.

As long as drivers do not understand why these accidents happen, or as long as they refuse to take the logical steps needed to prevent them, crashes are still going to take tens of thousands of lives and lead to hundreds of thousands of injuries. There is just no way around it.

If you get hurt in an accident due to an error made by another driver, then you need to know what legal options you have to seek compensation.
